This page explains how PlumbPrep uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on this website.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Browser storage technologies such as localStorage work similarly, storing data locally in your browser rather than on a server. Both can be used to remember preferences or maintain session information.
2. How PlumbPrep uses browser storage
PlumbPrep uses localStorage (not traditional cookies) for all client-side storage. The following items are stored:

Firebase Authentication also uses localStorage and IndexedDB to persist your signed-in session securely in the browser. This is strictly necessary for the sign-in and account features to function.
3. Third-party cookies and scripts
PlumbPrep does not load advertising networks, social media trackers or third-party analytics scripts. When you proceed to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal, Stripe sets its own cookies on their domain, which are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
4. Your choices
Because PlumbPrep only uses strictly necessary storage, rejecting optional cookies does not disable any third-party tracking — there is none. You can still acknowledge the banner so it does not reappear.
You can clear all PlumbPrep browser storage at any time using your browser’s developer tools or privacy settings. Note that this will also clear your saved quiz history and active quiz progress.
To change your cookie preference, use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if we add new features that use additional browser storage. Check the “Last updated” date at the top of this page for the most recent revision.
